Refund and Returns Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

This Refund and Returns Policy applies to products purchased through the Archtop Laminates Oy online shop.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable law.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to orders placed by consumers and business customers, subject to the distinctions described below.

A consumer is a natural person who purchases products mainly for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.

The statutory consumer rights described in this policy apply to consumers.

Archtop Laminates Oy also offers a voluntary 30-day return period. This voluntary return period applies to consumers, business customers and sale items unless otherwise agreed or clearly stated before the order is placed.

Custom Shop orders and genuinely custom-made or personalised products are subject to the conditions described in Section 9.

2. Statutory 14-day right of withdrawal

Consumers generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, unless a lawful exception applies.

For products, the 14-day withdrawal period begins when the consumer, or a person designated by the consumer other than the carrier, receives the product.

If an order is delivered in several separate parts, the withdrawal period begins when the last part is received.

The consumer may also withdraw from the contract before the product has been delivered.

To exercise the statutory right of withdrawal, the consumer must send a clear withdrawal notice before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.

Returning a parcel without a clear withdrawal notice, or failing to collect a parcel, does not by itself constitute a valid withdrawal notice.

3. Additional voluntary 30-day return period

In addition to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal available to consumers, Archtop Laminates Oy offers a voluntary return period of 30 days from the date the customer receives the product.

To use the voluntary return period, the customer must notify us of the return no later than 30 days after receiving the product.

After submitting the return notification, the customer must send the product back within the following 14 days.

For returns made after the statutory 14-day withdrawal period has expired, the product must be unused, undamaged, complete and in a condition suitable for resale.

The product should be returned in its original packaging where reasonably possible.

The voluntary 30-day return period also applies to business customers and sale items unless otherwise agreed or clearly stated before the order is placed.

The voluntary return period does not limit a consumer’s statutory right of withdrawal or statutory rights relating to defective or incorrectly supplied products.

4. How to withdraw or request a return

To withdraw from a purchase or request a return, please notify us by email:

support@archtoplaminates.fi

Your message should include your name, order number, the product concerned and a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the contract or request a return.

You may use the model withdrawal form provided in Section 13, but using the form is not mandatory.

A clear statement communicating your decision to withdraw from the contract or request a return is sufficient.

After receiving your notification, we will provide the relevant return instructions and the correct return address.

A valid statutory withdrawal does not depend on our prior approval.

5. Returning the product

The return address is provided individually after the customer notifies us of a withdrawal or return.

Please contact support@archtoplaminates.fi before sending the product back so that we can provide the correct return instructions and address.

When the statutory right of withdrawal applies, the product must be sent back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the withdrawal notice has been submitted.

A return made under the voluntary 30-day return period must also be sent back within 14 days after the return notification has been submitted.

Please package the product carefully and include, or otherwise provide, sufficient information to identify the order.

We recommend retaining the return receipt and tracking information until the return has been completed.

6. Return shipping costs

The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product unless:

  • the product is defective;
  • an incorrect product was delivered;
  • Archtop Laminates Oy has agreed to cover the return cost; or
  • applicable law requires otherwise.

Products can normally be returned as standard postal parcels.

If a product is defective, damaged on arrival or incorrectly supplied, please contact us before returning it so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

7. Refunds

When a consumer validly exercises the statutory right of withdrawal, we will refund the payments received for the returned purchase, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the order.

We are not required to refund additional delivery costs resulting from the customer’s choice of a more expensive delivery method.

The statutory refund will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the withdrawal notice.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product or the customer has provided evidence that the product has been sent back, whichever occurs first.

The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless the customer expressly agrees otherwise.

The customer will not be charged a fee for the refund.

For an accepted return made under the voluntary 30-day return period, we will refund the purchase price of the returned product and the original standard delivery charge.

The customer remains responsible for the direct cost of return shipping unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law.

Refunds under the voluntary return period are processed without undue delay after the returned product has been received and inspected.

8. Product condition and diminished value

During the statutory withdrawal period, a consumer may inspect the product in the same way as would reasonably be possible in a physical shop.

Opening the packaging does not, by itself, remove the statutory right of withdrawal.

The consumer is responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling the product beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Any deduction from the refund will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with applicable law.

For returns made only under the voluntary return period after the statutory withdrawal period has expired, the product condition requirements in Section 3 apply.

9. Custom-made or personalised products

Custom Shop projects are developed individually in collaboration with the customer.

The cancellation and return conditions applicable to a Custom Shop order are assessed on a case-by-case basis and communicated before the order is confirmed.

The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to a product manufactured according to the customer’s individual specifications or clearly personalised for the customer, provided that the applicable legal exception applies.

Standard product selections, including pickup type, the available wood options and the 17S Thinline option, do not automatically make a product custom-made or exclude the statutory right of withdrawal.

Any applicable restriction on cancellation or returns must be communicated to the customer before the order is placed or confirmed.

Nothing in this section limits the customer’s statutory rights if a product is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

10. Defective, damaged or incorrect products

If a product is defective, damaged during delivery, incorrectly supplied or missing an agreed component, please contact support@archtoplaminates.fi as soon as reasonably possible.

Please include your order number, a description of the issue and, where useful, photographs of the product and packaging.

Please contact us for return instructions before sending back a defective or incorrect product.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the available remedy may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or cancellation of the sale and a refund.

Archtop Laminates Oy will cover reasonable return costs when the return is caused by a defect or an incorrect product supplied by us.

11. Exchanges

We may replace a product when it is defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied and replacement is an appropriate remedy.

For an ordinary change of product or product option, please return the eligible product in accordance with this policy and place a new order unless otherwise agreed.

12. Sale items

Sale items retain the same statutory withdrawal rights and statutory rights relating to defects as regularly priced products.

The voluntary 30-day return period also applies to sale items unless otherwise agreed or clearly stated before the order is placed.

A reduced price does not, by itself, remove a consumer’s statutory rights.

13. Model withdrawal form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.
