Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 25 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through the Archtop Laminates Oy online shop. Please read them before placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable law.

1. Seller information

Seller: Archtop Laminates Oy
Business ID: 3102697-5
Trade register: Finnish Trade Register
Address: Laanikatu 2 A 1, 60200 Seinäjoki, Finland
Website: https://archtoplaminates.fi

2. Scope and customer status

These Terms and Conditions apply to orders placed through our online shop by consumers and business customers.

A consumer is a natural person who purchases products mainly for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. Provisions concerning statutory consumer rights apply only to consumers.

Mandatory consumer protection rules take priority over any conflicting provision in these Terms and Conditions.

By placing an order on behalf of a company or another organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to represent that organisation.

3. Products and product information

Our products include unassembled guitar construction kits, laminated archtop components and related products intended for guitar-building projects.

The relevant product page describes the main characteristics, materials, included components, available options and intended use of each product.

Unless expressly stated otherwise on the product page, necks, fretboards, finishing materials, hardware, components for alternative models and technical plans or drawings are not included.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the product description and selecting products and options suitable for their intended project. This does not limit our statutory responsibility for products that are defective, incorrectly described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Wood and other natural materials may vary in colour, grain and appearance. Product photographs are intended to represent the products as accurately as reasonably possible, but screen settings and natural material variation may affect their appearance. Normal natural variation is not, by itself, a defect.

4. Prices, VAT and delivery charges

Product prices are shown in euros.

Where applicable, value added tax (VAT) is calculated and displayed at checkout according to the delivery destination and the applicable tax treatment of the order.

Delivery charges and any other applicable charges are shown before the customer places the order. The total amount payable is displayed at checkout before the order is submitted.

Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes or customs charges in the destination country. Unless otherwise stated, these charges are the customer’s responsibility.

We may change prices for future orders. A price change does not affect an order for which a binding contract has already been formed.

If a price or other product information contains an obvious error that the customer knew or should reasonably have understood to be an error, we may correct the error and contact the customer before accepting or fulfilling the order. Any payment already received for an order that is not accepted will be refunded without undue delay.

5. Orders and formation of the contract

Before submitting an order, the customer can review and correct the selected products, quantities, delivery details and payment information in the checkout.

By submitting an order, the customer accepts these Terms and Conditions and acknowledges the obligation to pay the total amount shown at checkout.

After the order is submitted, an order confirmation is sent to the email address provided by the customer. Unless otherwise stated during checkout, the sales contract becomes binding when the order confirmation is sent.

We may decline an order for a lawful and justified reason, including product unavailability, an obvious pricing error, an unavailable delivery destination or a reasonable suspicion of fraud or misuse.

If an order cannot be accepted, we will inform the customer and refund any payment already received without undue delay.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete contact, billing and delivery information and for checking the order confirmation.

6. Payment

The available payment methods are displayed during the ordering process.

Payments may be processed through Paytrail and the payment service provider associated with the payment method selected by the customer.

Available payment methods may vary depending on the customer’s location, the order and the relevant payment service provider.

The customer may also be subject to the terms and conditions of the selected payment service provider.

Archtop Laminates Oy does not receive or store full payment card details or online banking credentials.

The order is processed after payment has been authorised or otherwise confirmed according to the selected payment method.

7. Delivery

Available delivery methods, delivery charges and any delivery restrictions are shown during the ordering process before the customer submits the order.

Deliveries are arranged through Shipit and the carrier selected or shown for the order.

Products in stock – Finland: The normal delivery time is 5–7 business days from the order confirmation.

Products in stock – outside Finland: The estimated delivery time depends on the destination country and is shown during the ordering process or otherwise communicated to the customer.

Products not in stock or available on backorder: Delivery time depends on product and material availability. An estimated delivery time is communicated or agreed with the customer when applicable.

If an unexpected delay occurs, we will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible and provide an updated estimate.

The customer retains all rights available under applicable law in the event of a delivery delay.

The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer may be charged where permitted by law.

8. Right of withdrawal and returns

Consumers generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance sales contract within 14 days without giving a reason, subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by law.

Archtop Laminates Oy also offers a voluntary 30-day return period, subject to the conditions described in the Refund and Returns Policy.

The voluntary 30-day return period also applies to business customers and sale items unless otherwise agreed or clearly stated before the order is placed.

The Refund and Returns Policy, available through the website footer, explains the withdrawal and return procedures, return shipping costs, refund conditions and applicable exceptions.

Nothing in the voluntary return policy limits a consumer’s mandatory statutory rights.

9. Custom-made or personalised products

Custom Shop projects are developed individually in collaboration with the customer.

The conditions applicable to a Custom Shop order, including any limitations on cancellation or returns, are determined on a case-by-case basis and communicated before the order is confirmed.

The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply where a product is manufactured according to the customer’s individual specifications or is clearly personalised, provided that the applicable legal exception applies.

Standard product options, including pickup type, the available wood options and the 17S Thinline option, do not automatically make a product custom-made or personalised for this purpose.

Any applicable restriction on the right of withdrawal must be communicated to the customer before the order is placed or confirmed.

This section does not limit the customer’s statutory rights if a product is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

10. Defective products, transport damage and complaints

Archtop Laminates Oy is responsible for product defects in accordance with applicable law, including the Finnish Consumer Protection Act in consumer sales.

If a product is defective, damaged during delivery, incorrectly supplied or missing an agreed component, please contact support@archtoplaminates.fi as soon as reasonably possible.

Please include your order number, a description of the issue and, where useful, photographs of the product and packaging.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the available remedy may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or cancellation of the sale and a refund.

We will cover reasonable return costs when the return is caused by a defect or an incorrect product supplied by us.

11. Warranty and statutory liability for defects

A commercial warranty is provided only when it is expressly stated on the product page or in separate warranty information supplied with the product.

Whether or not a commercial warranty is provided, consumers retain their statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming products.

A commercial warranty does not replace or restrict those statutory rights.

12. Intellectual property and brand disclaimer

The website content, product photographs, text, graphics, instructions and other materials are protected by intellectual property rights belonging to Archtop Laminates Oy or the relevant rights holder.

These materials may not be copied, republished, distributed or used commercially without prior permission, except where permitted by law.

Archtop Laminates Oy is not connected with, affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by any guitar manufacturer or other third-party brand unless expressly stated otherwise.

References to instrument styles, eras or design characteristics are descriptive only. Our products are not represented as genuine parts made, approved or licensed by another brand.

13. Privacy and cookies

Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies and consent choices is provided in our Cookie Policy and through the website’s cookie settings.

14. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions when our services, business practices or legal obligations change.

The current version and its update date are published on this page.

Changes apply to future orders and do not alter a contract that has already been formed unless the customer agrees or the change is required by mandatory law.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms and Conditions and sales contracts concluded through the online shop are governed by Finnish law.

A consumer residing in another country retains any mandatory consumer protection available under the law applicable to them.

If a dispute arises, please first contact support@archtoplaminates.fi so that we can attempt to resolve the matter directly.

If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the consumer may contact the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services.

After contacting the Consumer Advisory Services, the consumer may submit the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board for a recommendation.
