Who are we?

We are a multidisciplinary team.

Our expertise spans instrument making, wood engineering, forestry, and IT. United by shared experience and a passion for guitar building, we combine technical knowledge with practical problem-solving to develop high-quality guitar components rooted in the Nordic tradition and using locally sourced materials.

Building on a Tradition.

Archtop Laminates was founded through a shared interest in laminated guitar construction and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We believe that progress begins with understanding the work of the greats before us. By building on the foundation of tradition, we continue to refine materials, structures, and manufacturing processes for today’s guitar makers.

I’ve always been fascinated by wood and the possibilities it offers. My background includes guitar building, carpentry and wood technology engineering. I enjoy turning ideas into practical, well-crafted solutions.
Here I focus on technical development and innovation, constantly looking for better ways to create high-quality products. I’m also convinced that every piece of wood has its own unique character—and that’s what makes working with it so rewarding.
When I’m away from the workshop, you’ll usually find me enjoying the outdoors or listening to rugged rock music.
“Do it yourself—and create something uniquely your own.”

I’m a software engineer by profession and a guitar builder by passion. While having a Master’s degree in Information Processing Science, I always enjoyed the arts and trained as a guitar-building artisan. I enjoy combine technology with craftsmanship.
At Archtop Laminates, I work on our website, digital tools, and product prototyping. I enjoy solving problems, improving ideas, and finding practical ways to bring new concepts to life.
Outside of work, I love spending time in nature, staying active, and listening to just about every kind of music—from punk to jazz. I believe that with curiosity and determination, almost anything is possible.
“Yes, you can.”

I’m a long-time guitar-building teacher with a lifelong passion for acoustic instruments and their properties. With a degree in Automation Engineering, I enjoy combining technical thinking with creativity.
I’m responsible for sales, marketing, and business development, helping customers find the right materials and solutions for their projects. I enjoy working closely with builders of all experience levels.
I believe that the most rewarding work often begins outside our comfort zones. Continuous learning, curiosity have shaped both my career and the way we develop our products. In my free time I enjoy sports, ice swimming, gardening and picking a guitar.
“I enjoy challenges, because they makes us grow.”

My background includes forestry, arboriculture and guitar building. I’ve always enjoyed creating things with my hands. In our company I focus on production, CNC machining, logistics and making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
My experience in arboriculture inspires me to promote us using locally sourced materials. I’m passionate about finding local tone woods with excellent properties, which also helps building a more sustainable future for the craft.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me building guitars, restoring vehicles, or exploring new woodworking ideas. I have a particular soft spot for archtop guitars and I believe there’s always something new to learn.
“Building guitars is a lifelong journey of learning, creating, and discovering.”

Where are we today.

Today, We supply laminated guitar components to builders around the world. Alongside our standard product range, through our Custom Shop, we help boutique builders turn their own designs into laminated components with structural and acoustic properties tailored to their instruments.
Our expanded production facilities and continuously refined manufacturing processes enable consistent quality, reliable deliveries, and greater production capacity. Customer feedback remains an essential part of our development, helping us improve both our products and the way we work.

Our path forward.

We continue to expand our standard product range while developing new component solutions based on customer needs. Together with our customers and partners, we study traditional guitar construction, refine structural and acoustic designs, and combine proven craftsmanship with modern manufacturing. Our goal is to provide reliable components that allow builders to focus on what they do best – building guitars.
